Low Anterior Resection Syndrome in Adults with Rectal Cancer in China: a Case Series Analysis

Abstract Low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) comprises a collection of symptoms affecting patients’ defecation after restorative surgery for rectal cancer. The aim this work was to study the incidence and risk factors LARS in China. Rectal cancer patients undergoing total mesorectal excision colorectal anastomosis between May 2012 January 2015 were identified from single center. completed score questionnaire through telephone. clinical pathological that may influence occurrence analyzed using univariate multivariate logistic regression analysis. postoperative recovery time pelvic dimensions on also analyzed.
